Just     Westlife

Kian John Francis Egan was born on the 29th of April 1980, and is an Irish musician.His mother and father are Patricia and Kevin,(who died in 2009).He has three brothers: Tom, Gavin and Colm, and three sisters: Marielle, Vivienne and Fenella.He is the fifth of seven children, and he attended Summerhill College Secondary school in Sligo, and it was there that he met fellow band members Mark Feehily and Shane Filan.

 

 

His claim to fame is being a former member of the greatest ever boyband, Westlife. Currently he is appearing on the tv show The Voice of Ireland.

 

Before he joined Westlife, he was in a pop group called IOYOU, along with Mark Feehily and Shane Filan, who also became members of Westlife. Graham Keighton, Michael "Miggles" Garrett and Derrick Lacey were also fellow members of IOYOU.
 

Kian also launched a new venture with Louis Walsh, Westlife's manager, which was to put together a girl band who were co-managed by them.

 

Their debut album reached number 6 in Ireland, and number 8 in the uk... however just 4months later the group were dropped by their record label, Mercury Records.

 

In July 2012, Kian helped to present This Morning by fronting the "Hub"standing in for regular hosts.

 

In October, Kian began giving weekly reports on This Morning about the remaining contestants in the ninth series of The X Factor. Kian reported every Friday morning, before the competition's live shows that weekend

 

Also, Kian became a co-presenter of the new revamped version of Surprise Surprise on the 21st of October 2012. However, the show returned for a second series in 2013 without him.

 

He has made some guest appearances over the years including.......

On the 11th November 2013, it was confirmed that Kian had arrived in Australia for the thirteenth series of I'm a Celebrity.... Get Me Out of Here!.

He later went on to win the show, and crowned king of the jungle 2013.

 

 

Kian married Jodie Albert, an english singer/actress on 8th May 2009 in Barbados.Howevr, Kians father was not able to attend the wedding as he had been diagnosed with a brain tumour .

Sadly, he died shortly after.

 

On 31st July 2011, the couple announced they were expecting their first child.

Jodie gave birth to their first child,named Koa,on 20th December 2011 at 10 past 6.

 

The family live in Strandhill, County Sligo.
